Sur Le Lac is a location on the Netflix series Sex Education. It is a petrol station located somewhere in northern France, where Otis and Maeve shared their first ever kiss during the school trip in episode 3.5.
History[]
The petrol station made its first and last appearance in the fifth episode of the third season, when Moordale Secondary students went on a school trip to France it consists of a small store, toilets and refueling zone.
After Rahim threw a poo out of the coach window and it hit a car the coach was driving by, the coach and the car stopped at the Sur Le Lac, where Adam takes Rahim's blame on himself and owns up to be responsible for flying feces. Later, every student walk away; beside Rahim, who's supposed to clean up the poo from the car. After 15 minutes, the coach leaves the petrol station, hitting the road once again, whereas Maeve and Otis get stranded at a petrol station when going to the bathroom. Finally, they open up to one another - Maeve admits that Isaac deleted Otis' voicemail and she never received it. Otis finally tells Maeve what the voicemail said, after what they kiss, but are interrupted by the bus that came to fetch them right at the moment. After Maeve and Otis get on the bus, Emily and Colin playfully call each other the worst teachers, after what Colin proposes to Emily, but she rejects his proposal, explaining that she will not marry him because they haven't been dating for even a year. Instead of accepting the proposal, she offers to move in with him, which makes Colin happy and satisfied. Then, with everyone back on the coach, they finally head back to Moordale.
