Quiz Heads was a team that represents Moordale at quiz competitions. They competed at the National Student Quiz Championships, which was televised.
After Nigel moved back to Australia, Ms. Sands decided that Maeve would join the team.
At one of the competitions, Viv, Dex and Steve get annoyed by Maeve constantly answering questions without consulting the team. She is cut from the team and replaced by Paulina. Later, when the Quiz Heads meet up at the library, Steve doesn't appear too happy about the decision to cut Maeve because Paulina isn't very good, but Viv explains that Maeve is too risky. Later, Paulina eats a prawn cocktail sandwich, which annoys Dex because he can't handle the smell of fish before lunch. The prawn cocktail sandwich ends up giving Paulina food poisoning, so the Quiz Heads invite Maeve to rejoin the team.[1]
