Mrs. Hanan is one of the recurring characters in Sex Education. She is portrayed by Sindhu Vee.

She's Olivia's mother and Mr. Hanan's wife, who often teaches her daughter how to dance traditional Indian dances.
In episode 2.7, she and her husband were called to Mr. Groff's office, after Jean's notes went to public and it turned out that Olivia's boyfriend was actually fifteen and having sex with him was a crime. Furthermore, after finding out that Malek and his family are Iranian, not Indian Olivia's parents were very mad.

Mr. Hanan (husband)[]
Mr. Hanan is Mrs. Hanan's husband. They're both Indian and both of them care about their traditions and culture. That's why they're angry at Olivia after they find out that Olivia is dating an Iranian boy.
Olivia Hanan (daughter)[]
Olivia is Mrs. Hanan's daughter. Mrs. Hanan has good relationships with Olivia. The two often spend time together, and one of the activities they do together is dancing traditional Indian dances. Mrs. Hanan often teaches Olivia how to dance them, and often points out the mistakes she does while dancing, which annoys Olivia. After Mr. & Mrs. Hanan found out that Olivia is dating an Iranian boy, Malek, they got very mad at their daughter.
