Maureen Groff & Michael Groff is a romantic relationship on the Netflix series Sex Education. It started before series begin.
History[]
Season 1[]
Maureen and Michael were a marriage living in Groff House, and having two children: a daughter and a son - Adam. But despite being rich, they were not happy at all. Maureen was lovely and supporting for Adam, whereas Michael was so strict, what caused that Adam was scared of his own father, as was said by Eric in episode 8 and Adam did not deny it.
Season 2[]
Maureen decides to divorce with Michael, finally noticing that they're completely different and they don't belong together anymore. Michael moves out of their house.
Season 3[]
Maureen starts to have many affairs, finally having sex, which she did not have with Michael for years. In same season when Jean's having a doubt about her relationship with Jakob, Maureen says that she and Michael used to be happy and want the same things in life (having family etc.), but at some point it just did not work out for them. Later, Michael tries to fix things between him and Maureen, understanding that he loves her. Once, when Michael comes to their house, bringing her and Adam a salad, they start to kiss and then, have sex. But, in spite of trying so hard, Maureen says that it wouldn't be good for Adam, and they should stop seeing each other.
