Maeve Wiley & Isaac Goodwin is a romantic relationship on the Netflix series Sex Education. It lasted through seasons 2 & 3.

History[]

Season 2[]

When Isaac moves into Maeve's trailer park, the two do not get along at first, but as time passes, they begin to understand each other better and become friends. Like Maeve, Issac, who is disabled, knows what it’s like to be abandoned by a parental figure. Later, Isaac helps Maeve spy on Erin when she suspects her mother of lying to her. After Erin’s unwilling departure, Maeve goes to Isaac for comfort. As the season progresses, their friendship evolves into romance. In episode 2.8, Maeve leaves her phone unattended and Isaac hears a voice mail left by Otis, who admit he wants to be with Maeve. Isaac deletes the voicemail, presumably not fully trusting Maeve to choose him over Otis.

Season 3[]

Isaac later admits what he did, resulting in Maeve ghosting him for weeks. The two later reconcile and eventually sex. During Erin's supposed kidnapping of Elsie, Otis and Isaac volunteer to stay by Maeve's side, but Isaac, noticing the chemistry between Otis and Maeve, leaves them to deal with it on their own. In episode 3.8, Maeve moves out of the trailer park, moving in with Anna and saying goodbye to Isaac.
