Background[]
Erin and little Maeve
Maeve Wiley is the second child of Erin Wiley and one of her ex-partners, after her older brother, Sean. At some point in her life, her father left her and the rest of the family. Some time after this, Erin became a drug addict and started selling drugs. She eventually got arrested, leaving her children on their own, with Sean becoming Maeve's only caretaker.
Four years before the events of the series, Maeve was invited to Claire Tyler's 14th birthday party. There, Simon Furthassle tried to kiss her, but she rejected him. In revenge, he decided to spread a rumour about Maeve that she gave him a blowjob and bit his scrotum, hence her nickname "cock-biter" which swayed a large amount of people to turn their backs on her, and spread more rumours about her promiscuity or even harass her about performing sexual acts for money.
Maeve started attending Moordale Secondary School, where she was bullied by a group of some of the most popular students; The Untouchables. She also was kind of a loner, due to false rumours about her. She distanced herself from the majority of people with few exceptions, such as Aimee Gibbs or Jackson Marchetti. Before Maeve reached the sixth-form at Moordale Secondary, her brother left her as well, forcing her to rely only on herself.

Episode 1[]
Otis and Maeve during SRE class
In a school corridor, Maeve is bumped into by Otis Milburn, who causes Maeve to drop all her books. Maeve ironically asks Otis if he was a complete moron. The two are interrupted by school headboy, Jackson Marchetti, who has a crush on Maeve and gives her a note that tells her to meet him after school. Later, during English class, Otis looks back to look at Maeve, whereas she flips him the finger without looking up.
After school, Maeve meets Jackson in his car at some parking lot, where the two have sex. After the whole thing, Jackson suggests Maeve driving her home, but she rejects, telling him they're just having sex and they don't need to know each other's postcodes, after what she leaves his car.

The next day, during the SRE class, Maeve sits beside Otis. The two learn how to put a condom on an actual dildo, naming the anatomy. Otis attempts to put a condom on the dildo but fails to as he finds it incredibly weird. Maeve watches in amusement as he attempts this but gets annoyed saying Jesus Christ and quickly putting the condom on. The goes over name the parts to the female anatomy. Maeve quickly fills it in but incorrectly places the hymen as told by Otis. The two talk about this when a student brings in a TV for them to learn about sex. However it turns out to be a video that Adam has the school watch of Otis's mom putting a condom on a cucumber and proceeding wank/jerk it off. On the screen flashing was "Otis Milburn's mum is a vegetable fucker". This freaks Otis has rightfully so as the entire class burst out into laughter. Otis runs out in embarrassment and Mr. Hendricks tells Maeve to go to make sure he's alright. She goes to check in on him and finds him in the toilet block behind the gymnasium. The two talk about what had happened. Suddenly, Maeve and Otis overheard Adam scream in the bathroom and learned of his predicament. Otis gave Adam an advice, encouraging him to embrace his heritage and appendage, which really impresses Maeve.
In the end of the episode, Maeve suggests Otis opening a sex clinic, pointing out some of the students with relationship problems. After a while of hesitating, Otis agrees, what satisfies Maeve.
Episode 2[]
Maeve finds the first client of her and Otis' sex clinic. The client turns out to be Olivia, a member of the Untouchables clique, who has a problem with giving her boyfriend a blowjob, as the last time she did this, she puked on his dick. Eventually, the apppintment ends up with Olivia being mad, as stressed Otis started talking about gorillas giving a blowjobs. Maeve gets mad at Otis, hoping that Olivia won't tell anyone about that.
Later, Maeve sits outside of Moordale Secondary with Otis and Eric, telling them to prepare for Aimee's house party tonight, where they're going to look for some new clients.
Before the party, Maeve goes to the grocery store, where she steals a bottle of vodka and then buys water and a pregnancy test, as she's suspecting she may be pregnant with Jackson.
Getting to Aimee's house, Maeve, Otis and Eric try to find new clients. Maeve is approached by Jackson, who suggests her going to the hot tub. Maeve rejects him by saying that hot tubs aren't her thing. Later, Maeve does the pregnancy test in the bathroom. After a minute, Maeve, standing in front of the mirror, looks at the test and say 'dickhead', which suggests that the test is positive. She throws it away and leaves the bathroom, looking for Jackson. After a while she finds him and without saying a word she takes him with her. They get to one of the bedrooms, starting to make out. The two hook up. And after the whole thing are seen by Otis, who leaves the bathroom after he therapized Kate and Sam. After Otis leaves the room, Jackson suggests Maeve going on a date. Maeve despises him one more time.
Later, sitting on a swing outside of Aimee's house, Maeve and Otis talk, where Otis tells her that he therapized two people that night. Later, the two go back to the house, where Eric is teaching Ruby and Olivia how to suck a dick. After the party, Maeve tells Otis the idea of sex clinic was stupid and apologized to him for wasting his time with that.
On Monday, everyone approaches Otis, wanting him to help them. Amazed Otis wants to find Maeve and tell her about that. He found her sitting in the abondoned toilets, reading a topic about pregnancy from her biology textbook. He tells her the news and she's visibly surprised and happy about them. The two share responsibilities connected with their sex clinic. They start a business.
In the end of the episode, Olivia gives them a second chance, which, this time, goes according to the plan.
Episode 3[]
Maeve's having an appointment, during which she's arranging an abortion procedure with her doctor. She finds out she needs to be picked up by someone after the whole thing. She decides to ask Aimee.
Next day at school, Maeve's waiting for Otis, who's having his first official appointment that day. After he gets there, Maeve tells him when he's having appointments. Later, Maeve's talking to Aimee, but when she's about to ask her to pick her up after the whole procedure, she's interrputed by Ruby, who approaches them, minding that her enemy is talking to her friend. Maeve resigns from asking Aimee about it.
Maeve is approached by Jackson, who wants her to come to the swimming competition later. Maeve declines, as she's having an abortion procedure after school. Maeve wishes him luck. Then, Miss Sands approaches her, telling her that her essay is very similar to Simone's (in reality, Simone was one of Maeve's clients, for whom she was writing essays). Emily warns her. Maeve ends up asking Otis to come and pick her up. He agrees, thinking it is a date.
Maeve gets to the abortion clinic. Otis comes earlier and walks in the clinic, finding Maeve there. Maeve's a bit mad at him, as she told him to come at a certain time. Otis leaves the clinic, waiting for her outside, while Maeve is taken to the operating room. After some time, she's allowed to leave the clinic, and is getting an important information in the reception. She's surprised and happy that Otis didn't get mad at her after she yelled at him and was waiting for her all the time.
Otis walks Maeve home, wanting to be sure that she'll get home safely. Otis gives her the flowers and treats her with sandwiches he bought while waiting for her. Maeve opens up in front of him, sharing with him some facts about her family. After they got to the caravan park, Maeve thanks Otis, sharing a hug with him.
In the evening Maeve's reading a book, finding an old photo of her and her mother.
Episode 4[]
Maeve has sex with Jackson in one of the classrooms. Jackson suggests going on a date, but Maeve tells him that they're just having sex. Jackson asks Otis for help, but Otis who is alling for Maeve, tries to decline, but inadvertently ends up helping him anyway. Jackson starts trying to impress Maeve. He starts reading books she likes or listening to her favorite music, while Maeve doesn't know what to do with that. She likes Jackson, but on the other hand, she doesn't want a boyfriend. She meets Aimee in abondoned toilets, who does a mind map for her.
Maeve's at Moordale pool with Otis, after another unsuccessful therapy session with Ruthie and Tanya. They're sharing a talk about having a boyfriend, which ends up with Maeve pushing Otis into the water. After some seconds, Maeve jumps into the pool as well, joining Otis. They spend a nice time together.
In the end of the episode, Maeve and rest of the sixth formers are called to the canteen out of Jackson's ask, who has a special announcement for them. After getting there, Jackson comes onto the table, saying that there's a special person in the crowd that he cares about. He calls out Maeve's name, starting to singing a love song for her in front of everyone. At first, Maeve's embarrassed with that situation, but with the song going on, she starts to enjoy it. After Jackson finishes singing, he approaches Maeve asking her if she'll be his girlfriend. Maeve calls him a dickhead and the two start to make out, hearing the applause from the spectators. And Otis, who's in love with Maeve is disappointed with such an unexpected turn of events, as he hoped the idea he gave to Jackson will be a tragedy and Jackson will get humiliated in front of Maeve.
Episode 5[]
Maeve and Jackson sit on a bench outside of school. Jackson wants Maeve to meet his parents, but Maeve tells him that she's not a meeting parents type. After Jackson's pleas, Maeve finally agrees.
Later, Ruby comes to Maeve for help to find a person who's blackmailing her with the photo of her vagina. Maeve reluctantly agrees to help her enemy, telling her to keep the money. Later, Maeve goes to Otis to inform him about the whole situation. Maeve and Otis get down to business. The two interviews Tom Baker, with whom Ruby was dating for some period of time. Trusting him he wasn't the one who shared this, the two let him go.
After school, Maeve goes to Jackson's to meet his family. She looks different than always, as she wants to make good first impression at Jackson's mothers. Already being there, she feels quite uncomfortable, as she has to lie about her family, telling Roz and Sofia that her parents are accountants. Feeling like she doesn't belong to the perfect picture of Jackson's family, she fleds, without saying a word, which confuses Jackson and makes him mad at her. She goes to meet Otis, who's called her before, telling her that Tom lied to them about not having a phone. Tom also said that he sent the photo to only one person; Kyle. Maeve and Otis go to Aimee's house, where Kyle is present at the moment. There, he doesn't want to tell them anything until they get him orange juice. After making his wish came true, the two don't get any important information and Ruby gets angry at them. After all, Otis and Maeve find the person responsible for the whole situation. After leaving Aimee's house, the two stop at the bridge and Otis gives Maeve his sweater. He rolls up the sweater sleeves and the two are about to share a kiss. Unfortunately, awkward Otis suddenly tells her he's a virgin. The two end up going in different directions.
Maeve decides to go to Jackson's to apologize to him. At first, he doesn't have anything to say to her, but after she takes him to show him how she lives, he forgives her, and makes her realize that his family isn't as perfect as she thinks it is.
Next day at school, she and Jackson are present at the assembly, during which Olivia claims that the displayed vulva is hers, prompting a wave of support as nearly all the girls join her, including Maeve, and later even Jackson, who stands up as a joke.
Episode 6[]
Maeve's present at Jackson's training, watching him swimming. Later, she's talking to Aimee, who wants to have an appointment with Otis. She makes her wish come true, as she's later arranging the meeting. The two are approached by Anwar, who wants Aimee to give the books back to the library for him. Maeve helps her.
During the assembly, it's revealed that Adam won the school essay competition, whose essay was written by Maeve. Adam reads the essay out loud in front of whole school, unable to read some words from it; Maeve helps him out, which is noticed not only by Otis, but also English teacher, Emily Sands, who's certain that essay wasn't written by Adam.
Later, Sean, Maeve's brother, comes to Moordale Secondary, as he's back in town. Maeve's is mad at him, but gives him keys to the caravan and warns him if he disappears one more time she won't forgive him.
Another day, Emily wants Maeve to join the Aptitude Scheme, as she thinks she's a perfect candidate for that.
Episode 7[]
Maeve and Otis talk about the school dance that takes place this evening. The two say they won't come, but end up coming to it anyway (Maeve's begged by Jackson to go to it).
After school, Maeve and Sean went on a shopping in order to buy Maeve a dress she'll go on a school dance in. When Maeve was trying on a black dress that she really liked, Sean, wanting his sister to get the dress, spoke up to the clients shopping there, asking them for giving some money so they can afford the dress, telling them the false story of their family. He said that recently they had been orphaned; their father, who bravely served the country, died in combat and their mother died of cancer shortly after. Eventually, his aim was accomplished; clients of the store gave them the money, thanks to what Maeve was able to buy herself the dress. After leaving the store, Maeve got angry at Sean, as he told all the people they were orphans and lied to people about their parents.
Maeve and Jackson are driven to the dance by Sean, who wants to sell some drugs to the students during the ball. Maeve's annoyed with Sean's presence at the event.
During the ball, jealous Maeve watches Otis and Ola dancing together, as she still declines Jackson to go dancing. Later, still being jealous of Otis, Maeve tells Ola if she were her, she wouldn't date Otis as he's not much experienced. Later, after Liam wants to jump off the moon and Otis's talking to him about the fact that he knows the feeling of being turned down by a person you like too well.
Later, a drunk Jackson asks Otis for another advice about Maeve. Angry Maeve asks Otis if it's true that he gave Jackson an advice to make a move on her. Otis agrees and says that he gave her Jackson's money. Maeve feels angry and disappointed with Otis.
Maeve walks drunk Jackson home and angry Sofia closes the door quickly, not wanting to hear Maeve's explanations. Jackson fights with his mother and leaves home, going to the caravan park. Getting there, Jackson asks Maeve if he can stay there for the night. Maeve agrees, hugging her boyfriend.
Episode 8[]
Maeve's annyoed with Jackson being angry with his mother. She makes him realize that she does all these things because she loves him.
After the dance, Maeve is accused of selling drugs on campus. Not wanting to get her brother into trouble again, she takes his blame on herself. Maeve may be expelled from Moordale Secondary. Later, Maeve argues with Jackson. During their talk, Jackson asks her if she even loves him. Maeve doesn't say anything at all. Anrgy Jackson leaves her, saying that they both know that she likes someone else (Otis). Packing her stuff from the locker, knowing that she's expelled from school, the Untouchables approach her, laughing at her. Sad Maeve doesn't even react to their offenses. Suddenly, Aimee approaches Maeve, telling the Untouchables that she dumps them for Maeve. Later, both Maeve and Aimee leave shocked Untouchables behind.
After getting home, Maeve receives a pracel from Cynthia, who tells her that Otis was there and left it for her. Maeve unpacks it; it's a trophy for winning in the school essay competition, that unfairly was won by Adam. Cynthia also tells Maeve that she saw Sean leaving the caravan park with some big bags; Maeve realizes that her brother left her once again.
Maeve decides to tell Otis how she feels about him, so she goes to his house. Meanwhile, Otis and Ola become a couple, sharing a kiss in front of Otis' house. Everything is seen by Maeve, who comes there when the two start to kiss. Depressed Maeve watches them for a while, but then she walks away, realizing she woke up when it was too late and Otis found himself someone else.
Getting back to the caravan park, she sees Aimee waiting for her beside her caravan. She wants Maeve to teach her to play cards.
