Ellen Rasmussen is one of the recurring characters in Sex Education. She is portrayed by Marie Reuther.

Ellen comes from Denmark and at some point of her life she and her family moved to America, and Ellen started her education at Wallace University. According to Tyrone, Ellen's older brother went to Wallace as well, and her father donated a building on campus.

Season 4[]
Ellen is a Danish girl Maeve meets in Amercia and shares a room in a dorm with. She's very passionate about Mr. Molloy's literature and is very excited after she becomes his assistant.
Ellen was also the one who secretly read a chapter of Maeve's book and sent it to one of the publishing houses, which opened Maeve a gate to come into being as an author. After that, Ellen stated that she'd lost interest in becoming a writer and decided to set up a tech company or going into banking.

Chris and Ellen started dating prior to season 4 storyline. Both of them are in the same friend group and it is possible that they started dating after some time of being friends. According to Maeve, they are hooking up all the time, which forces Maeve and Tyrone to hang out on their own.

Maeve is Ellen's friend, with whom she shares a room in a dorm. The two get along well and are close. Ellen secretly reads an exerpct of Maeve's book and sends it to a publishing house, wanting to increase her friend's chance to become a professional writer, knowing it was her dream.
