Browns Village Stores

Browns Village Stores is a location on the Netflix series Sex Education. It is a store owned by Rahim's uncle, Yousef, and is located in Moordale. Rahim lives above the store in the Harrak House. During seasons 1 and 2, Adam and Ola worked at the store.

History[]

Browns Village Stores is a convenience store that sells snacks, drinks, cigarettes, medication, toiletries and various other products. The staff there wear green vests.

The store is owned by Yousef, Rahim's uncle. He keeps a dog named Jessie in the store. The dog is usually behind a metal barrier.

105 Otis and Ola at Browns Village Stores — Otis attempts to steal

In episode 5, Maeve convinces Otis to steal something for the thrill. He tries to hide a snack in his jacket sleeve, but when he sees that it's Ola behind the counter, he gets nervous and the bar slips out. Ola jokes and she will call the police on him, but ends up letting him keep the snack.

In episode 8, Otis goes to Browns while Ola is working to buy several cans of cat food to show that he likes cats, in an attempt to make up for calling Ola a cat during the school dance. Ola is not impressed and an old lady standing behind them is frustrated because Otis is holding up the queue. Ola and Otis tell the old lady not to be rude, but she gets offended and hits Otis with her cane. After she leaves, Ola agrees to walk Otis home after her shift ends in 15 minutes.

In episode 2.3, Adam begins working at Browns and Yousef teaches him how to scan barcodes. They are interrupted by Yousef's dog Jessie, who barks. Yousef tells Adam that Jessie is an untrained rescue, so he shouldn't let her out.

In episode 2.7, Adam gains the owner's trust by teaching his dog how to sit, so he leaves early to watch a movie and instructs Adam to close the shop. However, Adam doesn't lock the door properly and the store gets robbed, so Yousef fires him. Later when Adam tries to get his job back, Ola reveals that the robbery wasn't Adam's fault. She tells Yousef she forgot to tell him that the key didn't work properly. Yousef ends up firing Ola as well.
